    Purpose:
    • The teaching and execution of Scottish Country Dancing as a Social activity
    • The promotion and upholding of Scottish traditions
    Short history: Initially formed as a generally Scottish Society, a Pipe Band was formed and Scottish Country Dancing Classes begun.The Pipe Band later became a separate entity and eventually was absorbed into The City of Melbourne Pipe Band. The Scottish Country Dance Classes and the Socials have continued to be held.
    Meetings: Quarterly Meetings are held at Mitcham
    Functions:
    • Weekly classes in Scottish Country Dancing
    • Three or four Socials each year on the fifth Saturday of the month
    • An “Annual Tartan Luncheon” held on the Sunday before July 1st.
    Affiliations: The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
