    Short history: Mr Ted Overbury, an Englishman, started the group in 1980. He had danced in England and decided he wanted to start dancing again in Australia. We had an inaugural committee/membership of fifteen to twenty people with an average attendance of eighteen. His wife and daughters were also early members. Another early member eventually became the teacher but left in 1996.
